Adore - Down the Memory Lane

I had an afternoon to spare, so we (super on) decided to look for some childhood memories and things that would soon be gone. =(

During my time (sounded very old) I used to play at the sand based playground but these sand based playgrounds were phased out and replaced by those laid with rubber mats.

Well, we went to Potong Pasir area (exact address: Block 28, Toa Payoh Lorong 6) to find the LAST sand based dragon shaped playground and snap photos of it! And yes, I played with the slide as well.. wahahahaha... luckily it was a hot afternoon so no one was there. hehehehe.

Did you play in the sand based playgrounds or those laid with rubber mats?

After that we went all the way to Dover (I know it's crazy!) to find the LAST Pelican, tortoise and rabbit playground. This was the exact one back when I stayed in Ang Mo Kio.

The few blocks of apartment around the playground were vacant, no residents staying there hence it was very quiet and peaceful. Walked around the area and saw these old school letterboxes, so old school until it looked a bit eerie to me. wahahaha.

After the search of our childhood memories, we went to Tanjong Pagar Railway Station before it was closed on 30th June 2011. An unique experience because if you boarded a train here, you actually would clear the Malaysia custom before you clear a Singapore custom.

This just reminded me of Hogwarts Express. =.=

I was glad I managed to catch one of the last few trains from here to Kluang before it closed. Well, for the experience. =)

Ended our day with a drink at COLBAR, yes, looking at the address you would know it was an ulu pandan place. =))

But it was a nice place to have a drink and chill! (think I tried their food before, cannot make it -.-)

Drink was enough!

It was awesome to just spend half a day doing things which I enjoy, exploring Singapore and searching for those precious memories that belong to me. =)
