Cafe - Little Prince Cafe @ Somme Road

I wanted to study in another cafe but I took a wrong route and ended up near Somme Road. I have been wanting to visit Little Prince cafe but I was quite hesitant when I saw that the place was rather small and I was afraid I may be hogging to their seats. But I went in anyway because the shop was empty... =P

I must say I enjoyed my time there (besides the studying)! The coziness, the drawings on the walls and the hospitality of the service staff. =))

That explained why I returned for a 2nd visit the following day and I brought my friend along!! =)

I sat at that corner, when I was tired from studying I turned and grabbed the "Little Prince" book and started reading. =))

I ordered a hot chocolate, $4.50 and a orange sponge cake, $3.90 on the first day.

My second visit I ordered an English breakfast, $4.50, because I love the cup.=P (Cupcake I brought there myself. haha)

It's just a 5 mins walk from City Square Mall!

Purposeful Traveller - I will go again! (on a weekday afternoon for sure!)

Have a Good Weekend!

I was crazy enough to go all the way to Pasir Ris to collect the cupcakes. Heehee.

Purposeful Traveller - Have a colourful weekend! =)

Cafe - The Power of FIVE.

Had a movie screening in the afternoon hence we decided to meet for brunch before it.

Baker & Cook, a part time cafe but full time bakery, located at Martin Road (Robertson Quay area). The interior seatings are rather limited, hence we have to make do with the alfresco seating (not advisable for a HOT afternoon) haha.

I love how the pastries are displayed, wanted to order them all.

Thank God this time round there were 5 of us. Yes, THE POWER OF FIVE!  We ordered so much of food!!

Carrot cake! Less than $5~

Ham Quiche with salad, $9~

l

Plain Bagel with cream cheese, $5. Caramel Walnut, Almond Chocolate Croissant, Apricot Danish, Cappuccino.

Overall I am satisfied with the food!!! I will definitely go back again for the pastries. =)) I shall try their flagship store @ Hillcrest for a different variety.

Purposeful Traveller - Worth going back for a second time

Cafe - Craft Bakery

I have not been to Holland Village for quite sometime, my sister introduced me to this cafe. Thus we decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon.

Craft Bakery cafe is relatively new, a few months old as told by the staff. =) Their coffee beans are taken from Papa Palheta (related to Loysel Toy, Chye Seng Huat), they have desserts from 3-inch sin as well.

We ordered their Lunch-hour promo, comes with coffee/tea, soup/sald and pasta/sandwich. $19 nett. If you ask me, I think can do without the set, just the mains + coffee will be good enough, cheaper this way too.

Waffles with bacon, the bacon reminded me of Bak Kwa. We both like it. =)

Roast Chicken sandwich with wholemeal panini bread. Wholesome, healthy and yummy.

A simple afternoon spent, I enjoyed the food and company. I will go back to try their dessert I guess!

Purposeful Traveller - Desserts next time.

Adore - Pasarbella

Each time my sister goes Pasarbella, she will come back and urge us to go too. Finally today I decided to go with her, I forgo doing my assignment for this. Better be worth it. >.<

I have been to The Grandstand once for Italian food, I still remember Pasarbella wasn't open yet. The place was very quiet then unlike today, crowded and bustling!

We entered from here.

Greeted by giant macaroons and colourful balloons! Happy start! =))

So many stalls selling a variety of food. The first that caught my attention is this! Bought "half portion" for $10 from Sea salt. It contains pork, chicken and beef with sides of potatoes, yam and carrots.

Next would be the Spanish rice-Paella, too beautiful to resist. I bought 1 and add on a chicken drumstick (kind of extra though. lol) $13.50+$2.50.

We went over to the seafood corner, my sister couldn't resist the oysters and we bought half a dozen for $18~ Not my type of food but my sister love it!

This is one cheese stall that my sister kept returning for and the person could recognize her! hahaha. I tried a few types of cheese and my sister bought some cheese for $28. OMG. I will never do that.

$28 cheese. I think I will have cheese for breakfast tomorrow. LOL~

I was so happy to find two of my favourite beers! The center and the one on the right! $6.50 each. WHee!

Actually we had so much more food like squid ink pasta, pizza, salad, nutella crepe, roast pork etc.. My sisters were too fast and furious in eating them that I don't even have time to take out my camera to snap a picture. LOL!

Anyway, a nice afternoon spent with them!

"Carb"Pe Diem. Yes, I live by that!

Conclusion? Yes it's worth it! I shall bear the consequence of not doing my assignment, bleah. Anyway, 2 things one must bring when going are:

Empty stomach and LOADS of money. =P

Cafe - Butter Studio

Well, another cafe visited.

We get to know Butter Studio through Public Garden. It is located along Jalan Besar Road, very near Swee Choon Dim Sum.

They do serve brunch, but I think we were too early, their kitchen wasn't ready therefore we only had pastries and coffee.

Nice alfresco seating, but too hot for an afternoon. hee

I guess because they were just open, we were one of the few customers around.

I always have a weak spot for nutella-related stuff. pfft.

Banana walnut cake

I tried a different drink, a breakthrough drink for me. Caramel Latte, goes well with the salted caramel nutella tart. =)

Hopefully can try their brunch one day.

Purposeful Traveller - Giving myself reason to go back.

Second Visit

Another awesome afternoon with friends at Butter Studio, then I realize their brunch/main courses are only available on weekends. Zzzz. BUT WE HAD MORE CAKES! Ordered the usual banana walnut cake, mud cake - $6.90? and tried their salted caramel ice cream - $4! Worth trying!

Tried their hot chocolate, big no no for me. Way too sweeeeeeeet~ I don't even find it chocolate-ty. -_-

\

When we saw the toast cup coming out from kitchen, we immediately ordered it! It costs $6.90~ But I don't find it fantastic, looks are deceiving. hehehe.

Purposeful Traveller - 2nd time!
