Thoughts while at Riders Cafe

Stayed back awhile to finish my work and decided to chillax at Riders cafe after work, had "high tea" there as they don't serve much dishes during that timing. But I enjoyed that quiet peaceful environment.

Well, there was literally no customers except us. =)

Sat at a place where I can overlook the place where the horses are. Saw this horse running in circles, almost therapeutic just to watch it runs. hahaha.

Death by chocolate cake, $12. Trust me, this definitely needs to be shared among at least 4 persons. 2 of us nearly died from the "chocolatey-ness". hahaha

Photo of today. How I love that sky and that tree.

I have been thinking... Life has been good thus far and I am thankful each day. Everyday is a day of adventure and I find joy even in the toughest moments. Thank God for everything and thank God for friends whom I can share my joy and sorrows with. hahaha.

The Fabulous Baker Boy

Finally got a chance to visit Fabulous Baker Boy! =)

There's only two of us so we could only order that many.

Red Velvet Cake, $8.50 but it is pretty huge and we couldn't finish it.

Home made pancakes a must. 2 huge pancakes, $6. It goes well with our coffee as well!

I saw the lady next to our table eating this, we tried it. I love it! Tuna Meltz!

I love the pancake!

My friend shared with me that this place used to be a swimming pool. Woo~ No wonder they have such "retro" pillars. haha

Thankful for the good weather and I really enjoyed my meal there.

Dining in a park makes me forget about the existence of time.

Address: The Foothills, 70 River Valley Road, #01-15, Singapore 179037 (Park at The Clarke Quay)

Purposeful Traveller - I will be back for the food and experience!

Muddy Day, Coffee Day.

In 2008, I went for Pulau Semakau Intertidal Walk. I love it to the max, looking at the organisms living on the mudflat and knowing alil more about them.

Last Saturday, I went to Pasir Ris Park for a Seashore Ecology event. I was looking forward to it despite the rather hectic week.

Thank God for good weather. But if I were to compare, the mudflat at Pasir Ris is nothing compare to the mudflat at Pulau Semakau, I believe it is very important for the mudflat to be as undisturbed as possible.

The muddiness at Pasir Ris was minimal. I still remember how I had to waddle in knee level water to reach the mudflat in Semakau.

Some organisms spotted.
Anyway the whole event ended at about 1pm and I had to rush for a coffee appreciation event with Highlander! Never a big fan of coffee but participated to support my friend and it turns out to be pleasantly good! I tasted the most amount of coffee in my life on that day!! hahaha

Introduction to the types of coffee. Then the trainers began making all sorts of coffee and of course showed us some latte art!!

<

My mindset towards coffee changed because of the class! In fact, I was craving for a good cuppa cappuccino the following day! Hahahaha. The one I had was really awesome! Freshly brewed! I shall head down to highlander cafe again soon!! =D

Purposeful Traveller - I want good coffee!

Tai-tai Saturday: M.A.C & Little House of Dreams

It was finally my turn to attend the M.A.C make up class and I was very excited! I must say make up is really an art and I guess I am never really good at art. hahaha.

I love how professional the training room looks like with all the necessary products lay out neatly. It made me even more looking forward to the class.

Recently I have been watching Michelle Phan's make up video here and there and after attending this class I finally understood what she meant by prep and prim the face. hahahaha. Late better than never.

There were soooooooooo many products to be applied on the face for the prep and prim part, by the time I reached foundation, I have almost forgotten the prep and prim procedures. LOL!

Anyway, I volunteered to be on this "million dollar seat" to have my eyes drawn!! Thank God I volunteered, it took me ages to draw the other eye on my own. The trainer only drew one side to show the class and I have to practice on the other side after that.

The class was really good and informative, at least now I have a better idea on make up but I don't think I will wear make up everyday because God knows what time I have to wake up to just draw my face. pfft. hahahaha. >.<

Now I have $120 worth of M.A.C voucher at my disposal (comes with the class), shall grab some products which I think were pretty good like the moisturizer, fast respond eye cream and liquid foundation.

After the make up class which was in Clarke Quay, I decided to check out a cafe I came across online with a few of them!

Little House of Dreams!

This small little cafe is located at #b1-27e of The Central shopping mall. I love the polka dots table cloth! hahaha.

They do conduct classes on baking and even setting up a dessert table for events. I would love to have it men!!

We had that little tea pot!

They sell purely "high tea" stuffs, we ordered an Antoinette set to share, it has 4 canapes crepe, scones, small yummy cup cakes, chocolate mousse, honey cornflakes and chocolate tarts! The set costs $36.90 and comes with a pot of tea as well!! Quite worth it! =D

Tuna canape crepe

Oh yes, not to mention that red velvet cake with cream cheese, very nice! The chocolate mousse too! I am amazed by how this little shop with this little kitchen can come up with such yummy food!! =D
